Clear-All

Clearing the white board

CLEAR ALL!! very useful feature in QlikView. However, sometimes you don’t wish to clear everything in your data model. Suprisingly there is no event assigned to this user action. In this video, I’ll show you how to trigger the Clear All event in QlikView. I’ll be using following tools…

  • ConcatFunction (As string builder)
  • IF (Boolean Condition)
  • $Field (Meta data field)
  • Dollar ($) Sign Expansion
  • Variable
  • OnChange Variable Event
  • Bookmark/ Select in Field Trigger

Here is the expression:

=IF($(=Concat(DISTINCT ‘GetSelectedCount(‘ & $Field & ‘)’, ‘ + ‘)) = 0, 1, 0)

I hope this useful! Also, recommend you to particpate in QlikShare’s QlikView Question of the Day. I have posted some interesting QlikView Questions to challenge you!
